I am very impressed.

Of all the games I have played from the internet, this is by far the most detailed and lengthy one of them all. In the case of your game, I'd say lengthiness is quite welcome. After seeing that your submission got Weekly Third, I viewed/played 1st and 2nd place to see in which ways they were better. They weren't bad, but I must say I was shocked that something of this magnitude had to settle for third, but that's just me, because I love just about anything Mario.

The only criticisms I can come up with after playing the game as much as I have are that:

I would have enjoyed there being an alternate control scheme where WASD were movements and the Z, X, and C functions would have either been the left, down, and right arrow keys, or perhaps even 1, 2, and 3 on the numpad. Just somewhere around there.

Also, being able to save the number of lives would have been great as well, but this game is so fun as it is, I cannot complain at all.

I voted 5, I felt it was deserved.

Heh, this made me laugh. Good work. Simple, yet effective.

Not a bad demo

Pretty neat demo that was, but I do have to agree with a previous review in that it might be better with a scrolling effect rather than just scene progression. But, I think you sure know what you are doing for this game.

I suppose...

For your first game, I didn't think it was too bad, although the ctrl key was unresponsive at times, or maybe I'm suppose to wait, I don't know...
But again, this wasn't all that bad, but try improving the speed, concept, etc...

The truffle is undervalued.
